Moira Oliver and Sarah Lindley Parker are ‘Out Of Control’.

Out of Control is a company born out of the theories of Reality Therapy.

The Out of Control method is a portable, interactive training module for both adults and children. It provides a process whereby people learn to evaluate their own control system, their wants, behaviours and perceptions. This brings about a wider understanding of their own behaviour which leads to positive change.

We promote emotional health which is essential to enable children, students and adults to learn and fulfil their potential. Out of Control provides a variety of options to meet the individual needs of your group/school. It is tailor made for any situation that you are experiencing.

We teach techniques to the adults and/or students and can provide follow up support sessions.

Reality Therapy is being used successfully in many areas of work including counselling, psychotherapy, management, parenting and education.

Early Years

Our techniques link very closely to the Early Years Foundation Stage, especially with regard to the principles ‘A Unique Child’ and ‘Positive Relationships’.

We can provide you with our research study document which was carried out in a Day Care provision and supported by colleagues in the Education Department.

Primary School Years

We support children to take responsibility for their own behaviour. The techniques used are taught to staff and children with follow up support sessions as required.

Reality Therapy prepares children with the skills needed for successful communication and negotiation skills to improve relationships.

Teenager Years

The number one reason for pupils being suspended or people losing their jobs is that they cannot get along with the people they work with.

Reality Therapy prepares teenagers to build more effective relationships as they move onto their adult lives.

Adults

Out of control brings about a wider understanding of personal behaviour which leads to positive change.

Reality Therapy is being used successfully in many areas of work including counselling, psychotherapy, management, parenting and education.
